I am a REALTOR who understands buying property is the largest financial investment most of us will make in our lives. It’s where we live, love and grow. It’s the seeds we plant for our kids.

Early in the twentieth century, my great grandfather discovered the farmland in Rosedale to be ideal for growing cotton. I grew up learning to drive on dirt roads in the fields and playing on a dairy ranch.

Times change just as the landscape of Bakersfield has over the years. My great grandfather would tell us that he was taking care of the land for the generations who would follow. As a child, I did not understand that concept. Now I do.

Like so many of us who are native to Kern, I moved away. Over the years I’ve traveled across the globe and lived in other places. One such place was even an ocean away. Oddly, like so many of us, I too came back home.

Bakersfield is unique because we have built a community of caring neighbors. This is a shade of beauty that has not been replicated anywhere else.
